Romans 10:9 – “that if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus,
and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt
be saved.”
As we enter the month of April, our thoughts turn to Easter, which is a
celebration of the resurrection of our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. Without the
resurrection, the would be no salvation. We must believe Jesus rose from the
dead in order to be saved. (See our Scripture verse.)
Let me share with you these things that make the resurrection of our Lord important!
The resurrection is:
1) A person. Jesus said “I am the resurrection and the life. As Jesus ask
Martha. “Do you believe this?” I ask you, “Do you believe this?”
2) A Presence. Jesus is here. He was not at the tomb when Mary and the
others came to see Him He has risen. Now we have assurance the He is with us
always, and will never leave us nor forsake us.
3) A promise. Jesus is coming again, and will raise us up who have trusted
in him. Because Jesus rose, we will also by faith in him.
I pray each one of us is celebrating Christ’s resurrection and looking forward
to our own.
