“Give unto the Lord the glory due unto His name. Worship the Lord in the beauty of holiness.” Psalm 29:2
Keith and Kristyn Getty promote congregational singing in their book, “Sing!” They say we sing because we are created to sing, we are commanded to sing and we are compelled to sing. As we approach the Easter season, may the cross and the empty tomb compel us to sing praises to the Lord, to “give Him the glory due unto His name.”
Another quote from the Gettys, “The songs we sing on Sunday provide the sountrack for our week. Singing files away the messages the lyrics convey in our minds and our hearts.”
The choir is back in the saddle, working on Easter music. We would welcome new singers. Come and join us. Resurrection Sunday will be April 5th. Let’s look forward to the greatest day in history. Whether in the choir, the congregation, or in your daily life, “Give unto the Lord the glory due unto His name.”
