Lynn’s Notes ♫ August 2026
“For as we have many members in one body and all members have not the same office: so we,
being many, are one body in Christ, and every one members one of another.” Romans 12:4,5
I am thankful we’re not all the same. God made each person unique. He gifted you with
spiritual gifts, as the scripture says, “that the church may receive edifying.” Thank you for using
your spiritual gifts, your talents, experience and abilities, to edify, to build up the church.
P J Mortensen and Billy Joe Tackett used their gifts and talents to lead the River Bend family in
praise and worship while Patsy and I were in Charlotte, North Carolina at the International
Convention of the Gideons. What a joy it was to worship with Christians from 90 countries and
to hear testimonies of lives transformed by God’s Word.
The Independence Day celebration was a moving experience as folks shared testimonies of
what it means to live in a country built on the foundation of the Word of God. We are free to
share Christ and to praise His name. Keep sharing. Keep singing.
