The Beacon, February, 2026
Many people may have made New Year’s resolutions. Did you make
any? If so, have you kept them?
Ecclesiastes 5:4-5 tells us we should pay our vows. It is better not to
make a vow than to make one and break it.
Keep your promises. It is better not to make a promise than to make
one and not keep it. Here are some promises we need to make and do
our best to keep them in 2026.
1) To yourself – To be more cheerful and forgiving.
2) To your family – Remember your marriage vows. Strive to be a better father or mother, son or daughter.
3) To your church – Support it, give to it, pray for it, attend its services.
4) To God – Be obedient to his Word. Be faithful to His Will. Tell others about Him.
God has promised and He is faithful to keep His promises. What about us?
