Notes from our Supply Pastor
Waiting on God is one of our Hardest tasks.
Psalms 27:14 – “Wait on the Lord: be of good courage and he shall strengthen thine heart. Wait, I say, on the Lord.
God’s timing is not always our timing. As a matter of fact, most of the time, it is not. Two big mistakes are lagging behind when God says, go; and plunging forward when God says wait.
It is a virtue to learn to wait on God’s plan and purpose for us. Some things this requires are.
(1) Faith – Trusting God’s wisdom and not our own.
(2) Humility – Recognize our weakness and His strength and our need
to surrender to Him.
(3) Patience – Wait to receive clear guidance in whatever we are
considering
(4) Courage – Don’t bow to pressure from the world, but continue to
listen to God’s Word for us.
This would apply to a church seeking a pastor. God has a man and God has a time. Wait for it. Continue to pray for the pastor search committee as they diligently seek God’s direction concerning a pastor. Pray for me until that time comes.
