Lynn’s Notes ♫ July 2025
“Go ye therefore and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son and of the Holy Ghost.” – Matt 28:19
As I write this, Patsy and I are getting ready to travel to Norway for their national Gideon Convention. It’s a blessing to meet Christians from other parts of the world. The language and culture are different, but there’s a real bond, like the song says, “We are one in the Spirit, We are one in the Lord…”
Years ago, the Lord called Patsy and me to church music ministry. About that same time, He also called us to the Gideon ministry. The church and the Gideons work together to fulfill the Great Commission. When God called us, we couldn’t have dreamed He would send us around the country and all over the world. We are so thankful for our River Bend church family and for folks like P J Mortensen, Diane Malone and Billy Joe Tackett, for so effectively leading worship and playing for us while we fulfill this other calling by God.
As River Bend launches a search for a pastor, I know He will continue to bless us as we seek to “Go into all the World” with the Gospel.
