Youth and Riverbend August 2026
Greetings, Church Family! As another school year begins, our hearts turn toward the children and young people in our church and community as they step into new classrooms, new friendships, and new opportunities to be a light for Christ. The school year brings excitement, but it also brings challenges, temptations, and difficult decisions. As a church family, let us commit to praying faithfully for our students, teachers, administrators, and school staff. “Have I not commanded you? Be strong and courageous. Do not be afraid; do not be discouraged, for the Lord your God will be with you wherever you go.” — Joshua 1:9 (NIV)
Our youth and children's ministries are more than programs—they are opportunities to disciple the next generation of believers who will one day carry the banner of Christ. They are watching us, learning from us, and growing through the love and encouragement we show them. Let us be intentional in supporting these ministries through our prayers, our presence, and our willingness to serve. “Start children off on the way they should go, and even when they are old they will not turn from it.” — Proverbs 22:6 (NIV)
As we begin this new season, may we remember that investing in our young people is an investment in God's Kingdom. Together, let us encourage them to stand firm in their faith, live boldly for Jesus, and know they have a church family cheering them on every step of the way. May God bless our students with wisdom, protection, and courage throughout this school year.
From my heart,
Tracy Ridings ♥️
