Greetings, Church Family! As we celebrate our nation’s freedom this month, it is a vital time to reflect on the blessings of the country we call home. Through the various roles we play in the lives of children, we all carry a beautiful, yet heavy, responsibility. We must teach our young people to appreciate, respect, and have pride in our great nation, remaining deeply thankful for the freedoms we enjoy every single day.
However, freedom is never free, and it is rarely secure. As Christians, we see our biblical values challenged more and more in modern culture. Some of our most cherished spiritual freedoms are actively threatened. We cannot sit idly by. We must courageously take a stand to protect the truths taught in the Bible, showing our youth what it looks like to live with uncompromised faith.
Our students are currently home enjoying their summer break. Please join me in praying for them during this season of rest. Pray that they recharge physically and spiritually as they prepare for the upcoming school year. I also ask for your specific prayers for growth in our youth and children’s programs. These young faces are the future of River Bend Baptist Church. It is the responsibility of our entire congregation to nurture, guide, and love them. Together, let’s equip this next generation to carry the torch for Jesus Christ into our community and across the world.
